Q1 2015 BI User Community – Seattle

BI-HeaderWe’re looking forward to seeing everyone at the BI User Forum on Thursday, February 26th in Seattle (Yes, we’re finally holding one on the Westside) at the Four Seasons Hotel.

This quarter we will focus on the just-released version of Power BI, free new tools from Microsoft, with an emphasis on applications for finance and accounting.

3:00 – 3:50 | Optional Training (Cypress Room)

Concepts of analytical modeling applied. What do we mean when we use terms like facts, dimensions and star-schemas? How do these terms apply to analytic models using Excel and the Power BI “Power Tools” (Power Pivot, Power Query, Power View)? Together we’ll build a model applying and demonstrating these principles. Please bring your laptop. Instructed by Barbara Raney and Shilpa Subramanian, Slalom Consulting
